On Saturday August 21st we took in 11 Syrian Hamsters! They are all a little beat up as these solitary creatures were left together too long. After some TLC and a Vet visit, they should be up for adoption in mid September! Check back soon!

Adoption Event!

Apple Wood will be attending an Adoption Event at the north Colorado Springs PetCo (off of Union and Powers) on Saturday August 14 from 9am to 5pm! Stop by and see us along with several other rescues and sanctuaries from the area including the Big Cat Rescue & Gabriel Foundation. We will also be featured in a TV interview on KRDO (local channel 13) at 12:30pm on Wednesday this week as well as on the radio on 95.1 Big Cat Country. Hope to see you there!

This is Rio!

A standard gray female chinchilla that was surrendered just over a week ago. She is a complete sweetheart that is a bit on the shy side and looks to be in good overall health! As soon as we get to the Vets she will be available for adoption! Please check back soon!
